The Foundation of the Fellowship

Pastor Sam & Cilla

Pastor Sam and Cilla established Farnworth Christian Fellowship in January 1998, based on God's word and His promises.

Myoke Trust (functioning as Farnworth Christian Fellowship) was registered as a charity. 'Myoke' is taken from the words 'my yoke', where Jesus says in Matthew 11: 29-30

"Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

God spoke to Pastor Sam in February 1998 with this word from Isaiah 60 v 21-22:

"All your people will be good. They will possess their land forever, for I will plant them there with my own hands; this will bring me glory. The smallest family shall multiply into a clan; the tiny group shall be a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will bring it all to pass when it is time."

Over the past ten years the Lord God has given Pastor Sam specific words/directions, in times of need, to direct the church for His glory.

Pastor Sam also oversees a church in Spain.

He is married to Cilla, who plays a great part in the ministry. They have four children, all of whom are serving God.

Under the chairmanship of Pastor Sam the Fellowship has developed over the years by the grace of God. Several men and women have served the vision as trustees since its formation.

Pastor Sam, Paul and Andrew are the current trustees.

Paul Morris

Paul is married to Sue and they have three children. Their commitment and steadfastness are an inspiration to many people. Paul's sense of fun makes people feel comfortable around him whilst he encourages them to obey the Lord. Sue also plays a key role in church and serves the body of Christ in different areas.

Andrew Tonge

Andrew's life is characterised by dependability and dedication. He serves the church by playing the saxophone in the worship team and by being committed to the general building and ground maintenance work. He is committed to seeing the Kingdom of God extended in this area at all cost.
